Why the Soul Repeats Themes Across Different Lifetimes

You live multiple lives simultaneously, and in each incarnation there’s a central theme the soul chooses to play out.

Rather than choosing a completely different theme for every incarnation, the soul often expresses the same theme through multiple simultaneous lives.

But experiencing the same theme doesn't mean having the exact same life.

The circumstances can be completely different. The people can be different. The physical identity can be different. The soul can experience the theme from different sides and through completely different situations.

Each incarnation provides another opportunity to experience that theme from a different perspective.  And the soul may continue expressing that same theme through additional incarnations if there are still aspects of that theme the soul wishes to experience more fully or understand more deeply.

At the same time, the soul is also expressing other themes through different projections of itself.

The Same Higher Self Expresses Through Each Incarnation

The Higher Self, also known as the Oversoul, is the aspect of the soul that projects itself into multiple simultaneous soul projections while overseeing them all. Those projections incarnate into separate lifetimes.

And to be clear, every soul projection that incarnates into this world is guided by the same Higher Self regardless of the theme. The thing is, the aspect of the Higher Self expressed within each incarnation reflects the primary energy chosen for the theme being experienced.

In other words, it’s always the same Higher Self, but its primary energetic expression changes depending on the theme being experienced in that lifetime. 

This is one of the reasons different incarnations of the same soul don't have to look or act anything alike. Each incarnation is having its own experience while still being connected to and overseen by the same Higher Self.

Each Soul Projection is Multidimensional

As I explained in What Is the Soul?, each soul projection consists of five distinct layers, or aspects, that work together as a single unit. This includes the 5D Higher Self, the 4D etheric or astral self, the physical 3D self, and the 2D and 1D aspects associated with deeper layers of thought, emotion, and consciousness.

So when the soul projects itself into an incarnation to experience a particular theme, that projection isn't simply the physical person you see in the mirror. The physical person is only one aspect of a larger multidimensional construct experiencing that theme.

Your Life Theme is Part of a Larger “Right Now” Soul Experience

When you look at your life strictly from the perspective of this incarnation, certain recurring situations and patterns may not make much sense.

But this incarnation isn't an isolated experience.

The multiple projections of Soul that are experiencing the same theme are all lives happening right now. Lifetimes are simultaneous. They’re simply different timelines of right now.

And because these lives are interrelated, what happens in one can affect another. This is why when you heal something or shift your perspective in one life, it can affect how that same theme plays out in another life.

And this is also where consciously working with the different aspects of your soul construct becomes important.

The more you work with the energies that make up your soul construct, the easier it will be for you to experience phenomena that make you, as the physical 3D self, consciously aware of the other frequencies.

This is when your senses become heightened and you’re able to see, feel, and hear beyond this reality.

This also may lead to you experiencing those frequencies in the same type of way you experience 3D – meaning having out-of-body experiences that feel as “real” as your 3D experience.

As your senses become heightened AND you work with them (as opposed to allowing yourself to become distracted by other people's energy), you'll begin perceiving life very differently. And as your perception shifts, it can affect your other lives that are experiencing the same theme.
